Questions from the counter
How do I encourage a customer to record a ciaopost?
Offer a small thank-you: a discount on the service, a coffee on the house, a little extra on their next visit. A small cost for you, a big return for your business - and the testimonial stays honest, because their words are still their own.
GDPR/nLPD: am I allowed to publish my customers on social media?
Yes - because ciaopost collects consent first. Before any testimonial is published, your customer reads the consent text and signs it on your phone, right after recording. The signed consent is stored with the post, compliant with GDPR (EU) and nLPD (Switzerland). No signature, no post.
What if the customer doesn’t want to be on camera?
Use voice + photo: the customer speaks (voice only), and you photograph the result of your work - the haircut, the dish, the bouquet. Their voice and words are published with the photo, with the same signed consent. And if they’d rather not appear at all, that’s fine: a “no” costs nothing.
How long does making a testimonial take?
The recording itself is up to 60 seconds - the customer talks, you hold the phone. After that you check the subtitles, the customer signs consent on your phone, and ciaopost publishes. It fits into the natural moment at the counter, while the customer is still there and still happy.
How does the review invitation work?
After the testimonial, you show the customer a QR code on your phone. They scan it with their own phone and land directly on your Google review page. It works because you're asking at the right moment - while they're still in front of you and still happy.
And on days with no customers around?
Post something yourself: the morning counter, the new arrivals, your opening hours. A photo and two lines, published everywhere at once - your profiles stay alive while the business runs.
